We’re neighbors helping neighbors in Broomfield, Colorado, USA
And we’re working toward housing stability for all who call Broomfield home.

Our Goal
To pursue new sources of funding to close our community’s current, collaboratively identified, $15 million-per-year gap between locally available resources and the unmet housing-related needs of Broomfield residents.
Those urgent needs fall into three categories: (1) rehousing, (2) stabilization and (3) unit creation and preservation. See “The Need” page for details on each of those categories.
How we plan to reach our goal
After proposing two new tax measures that didn’t receive enough polling support from likely voters in spring 2025, we’re revisiting potential fund-generating mechanisms and conducting a longer-term community engagement process with local community groups, stakeholders and residents.
As we share the very real need that exists in our community, our task is to creatively identify and pursue viable, ongoing funding streams that prioritize housing stability for hard-working Broomfield households. These could include future ballot initiatives (the same or different than ones we proposed in 2025), potential city and county budget reallocations, enhanced pursuit of philanthropic grants, appeals to employers and faith communities, creative local fundraising, and whatever other ideas we can think of!
Any new funding we’re able to generate would be overseen by civic, non-profit and resident stakeholders and granted to local, on-the-ground agencies addressing the three above listed vital areas of urgent need.
We’re not trying to solve all of Broomfield’s full-spectrum housing challenges, just the most urgent ones!
What we need from you
Even as we grow as a community, we want to build on the tight-knit foundation that makes Broomfield unique. It’s Broomfield Days in September. It’s Ziggi’s Coffee Shop on weekday mornings. It’s the Brunner Farmhouse, Metzger Farm and Broomfield Commons on summer weekends. And when times are tough, it’s neighbors helping neighbors so that all of us can thrive.
Along the way, we’d love your feedback to inform our effort!
