We’re Broomfielders helping Broomfielders.

And we’re exploring ways to proactively and responsibly address our current housing instability crisis.

(We’ll add media and specific resident stories to this site as we go!)

A ballot campaign to meet urgent needs.

Even as we grow, we want to build on the tight-knit foundation that makes Broomfield unique. It’s Broomfield Days in September. It’s Ziggi’s Coffee Shop on weekday mornings. It’s the Brunner Farmhouse and Broomfield Commons on summer weekends. And it’s neighbors helping neighbors so that all of us can thrive. Because we’re all in this together.

Our Task Force wants to help meet Broomfield’s most urgent housing-related needs and we’d love your feedback to inform our efforts!

In the meantime, we’re advancing a special ballot campaign that we’re introducing to our fellow Broomfield residents. If referred by city council and approved by voters, the proceeds from our proposed ballot measures would go toward three vital areas of urgent need:

REHOUSING

Provide temporary and transitional housing support for our most vulnerable neighbors—including survivors of domestic violence, families displaced by life-changing events like injury, disability, or eviction, and individuals experiencing homelessness—so they have a safe place to land while they get back on their feet.

STABILIZATION

Offer emergency rental and mortgage assistance, and establish a local housing voucher program to support Broomfield residents who are struggling with high housing costs—especially those spending 50% or more of their income just to keep a roof over their heads.

CREATION & PRESERVATION

Create and preserve truly affordable rental housing for Broomfield residents facing financial challenges and rising housing costs—because everyone deserves a stable place to call home, especially when times are tough.
